POS at the Lagoon

Power of Scotland 10 -- 19th November 2011

Scotland's biggest fight promotion returns on 19th November 2011.

For its 10th Anniversary event, POS10 has joined forces with the World Boxing Council (WBC) to sanction 2 title fights featuring the POS Fight Team’s top fighters against the auld enemy. POS’s most featured fighter takes on arguably the biggest name in the UK over the last 10 years between 75-85kg in World Champion, Christian Di Paolo from Sheffield, who has been a dominant figure at the top of the rankings. This is set at Cruiserweight, far heavier than normal for Hocking and will be sure to be his biggest test to date.

Challenging for the WBC Bantamweight national title is POS Fight Team’s Kieran McAskill taking on Reece Crooke from Birmingham, both have recently came back from serious surgery to continue there fight career. Crooke has mixed it with some of the best Bantamweights outside of Thailand over the years and is determined to regain his past momentum. McAskill was also on an impressive winning streak before suffering a broken leg on POS9 only 1 year ago, and with 2 points losses this year, he is also determined to show why he is still ISKA British Champion and begin climbing the WBC Rankings.

This special event will also feature other top Scottish fighters such as UK #2 Chris Shaw and former ISKA British Champion and local favourite John Douglas taking on international Champions, as well as an STBA Featherweight Title eliminator between Danny McAskill and Tam McCourt and many other top domestic bouts in front of a packed crowd!
This event moves POS to Paisley Town Hall, a fantastic venue over 3 levels which will create an amazing atmosphere for the event. However, the capacity is around 800, which is significantly less than the average POS crowd, so get your tickets fast as this is sure to be a sellout.

Final Lineup will be announced shortly...
